About this Bristol Unlisted

Finished in Deep Metallic Oxford Blue with Contrasting Cream Leather interior piped in Blue. This vehicle was taken back to Bristol Cars and underwent a £60,000.00 restoration and is now arguably the best 411 on the market today. The Bristol 411 is an automobile which was built by the British manufacturer Bristol Cars from 1969 to 1976. It was the fifth series of Chrysler-V8 engined Bristol models. The car was rated highly for its comfort, performance and handling by contemporary reviewers. The Bristol 411 was first launched in 1969 with a 6.3 Chrysler V8 engine, which produced 335 BHP. A contemporary account by John Bolster describes the 411 as the “fastest true four-seater touring car” of its time, beating its closest rival, the 6.3 litre Mercedes-Benz 300SEL, at maximum speed and acceleration. By the time the series 4 was released in 1974, self-levelling suspension provided great comfort and ensured that the rear suspension had full travel regardless of load. Electric windows were standard and power steering made parking easy. A revised front end provided quad headlamps and unrivalled lighting, more than any other production car of the period. At the rear quad exhaust pipes echoed the four lamps at the front. The 400 cubic inch Chrysler V8 (a 6.6 litre) brought 264 bhp at 4800 rpm. A smooth throttle response, more torque and a reduction in emissions resulted in a well-rounded and relaxing performance car for the keen and well-heeled motorist. The Series 5, with the same engine as the 4 and the last in the series, had more safety features fitted. Inertia reel seatbelts, fog lamps, head rests in the rear and a black radiator grill helped to differentiate it from the previous model. This car boasts a raft of unique and sympathetic upgrades to the standard spec. These include cruise control, air conditioning. Externally, some subtle vents have been added to the bonnet aiding the car’s use in hot weather, whilst internally, the rear seats passengers are graced with some beautifully veneered picnic tables.
